William R. Brewer, Jr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William Riley Brewer, Jr., age 62, who passed away Tuesday, July 28,2026. He was a devoted friend, hardworking individual, and someone who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Bill was deeply dedicated to his work and approached every responsibility with integrity and dependability. Those who knew him could always count on him, as he was truly dependable and genuine in every aspect of his life. He had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time fishing, camping, and riding his bike. Music was a constant source of happiness, whether he was listening to his favorite songs or playing the guitar. He also loved watching ball games, following NASCAR, and enthusiastically participating in fantasy football, always enjoying the camaraderie those hobbies brought. More than anything, Bill will be remembered for his kind heart and unwavering loyalty. He was a true-hearted man whose generosity, humor, and friendship left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He wasn’t just a great person—he was an even better friend. His memory will live on through the countless lives he touched, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He was born August 6, 1963 in Wyoming, Michigan, the son of William R. Sr & Louise (Stevenson) Brewer. William is survived by his siblings Rita (Dan) Thompson, Kathy (Pat) Ward, Linda Daniels, Tom Daniels and Jack Brewer; and his extended family Rocky Durham, Raquel (Robert) Barker, Trey Barker, Corbin Barker, Nate Cooper and Blake Cooper. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Chief Brewer, Jesse Brewer, Bob Daniels, Penny Hatfield, Mary Shultz and Delores Hatfield. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 8, 2026 from 2 to 5 PM at McCarthy Park, 613 S Greenville Rd, Greenville, MI. Alcohol is not allowed.
