Uvonah Gwozdz

Uvonah Gwozdz, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, October 17, 2025, at the age of 91. Born to Mark and Evelyn Denman on March 10, 1934, Uvonah lived a full life, marked by love.

She leaves behind two devoted daughters (Gwen Anderson and Elaine Muilenburg) seven grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. Her family was her greatest pride, and her presence brought laughter, wisdom, and comfort to all who knew her.

Uvonah had a passion for card games—especially 31 (Tonk)—and a deep love for Detroit Pistons basketball. We imagine her arrival in heaven greeted by a lively card game or the best seat to a Piston’s game.

Though separated in life, Uvonah is now reunited with her beloved Steven, their souls joined once more by God’s grace.

Her memory will live on in the stories we share, the traditions we keep, and the love she gave so freely. We will celebrate her life with Funeral Services 2 PM Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at the Marshall Funeral Home in Greenville, with visitation from 1 PM till the funeral. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Sheridan. A luncheon will follow at Timbers in Sheridan.
