Sheila Davenport passed away Sunday, June 17th, surrounded by her children and the love of her life, Michael Davenport. Mike and Sheila spent 36 loving and devoted years together where they built a home in Greenville, raised five children and welcomed numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sheila was the rock of the family always providing support to anyone who needed it in any way she could. She was warm and caring, a loving mother and grandmother, and was always present when family was visiting. Her life's passion was being a partner and best friend to her husband. She loved being outdoors camping, four-wheeling, riding in her buggy and visiting family around the campfire. When she wasn't outside you would find her cooking and canning in her kitchen. Sheila was always full of life and enjoyed having fun. She was a treasured member of the American Legion Post 101 and the Moose Lodge Chapter 1620. Sheila is survived by her husband Michael; children Steven Stout (John) of Chicago, Shelly Stout of Gowen, Michael (Jennifer) Davenport of Grand Haven, James (Julie) Davenport of Midland and JoAnna (Danna) Davenport of Spring Lake; 18 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sisters Ann (Harry) Bigler of Greenville, Judy (John) Hall of Stanton, Kathy (Jim) King of Belding and Gloria Herroon of Greenville and her brother Keith (Theresa) Edwards of Gowen. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother in law Richard Herroon. Sheila will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Private services will be held.
