Richard “Dick” E. Dennis of Greenville/Howard City passed away peacefully in his home Jan 20, 2018. He is preceeded in death by his father Ralph Dennis of Cedar Springs, his mother Dorothy Dennis Edgerly & step father Lyle Edgerly of Morely, step son Richard L. McClellan of Greenville. He is survived by his partner Nancy McCarthy of Howard City, his children Cynthia Dennis of Greenville, Jeff Dennis of Gowen, Donald & Robin Dennis of Greenville, Susan & Jared Moberg of Wisconsin, Nancy’s daughters Jennifer Cunningham & Gary Williams of Mississippi, Kelley & Dave Trombly of Bitley, Cindy & Rusty Webber of Pierson, Jodi & Marty Owen of Howard City. He leaves 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, 4 brothers Gerald Dennis & Mary Sena of Grand Rapids, Edward & Nellie Dennis of Morely, Roger and Beverly Dennis of Lansing, Michael and Shari Dennis of Sand Lake, 2 sisters Jacqueline and William Gardner of Morley, Jean and Charles Street of Belding. Many nieces and nephews, and endless friends. Richard graduated from Greenville High School, he went on to serve in the United States Marine Corp. 1954 to 1962. He was the owner of Dick's Auto sales in Greenville for many, many years. He loved stock car racing, snowmobile racing, woodworking, hunting, fishing, camping and traveling and most of all his family. Members of the family will meet with friends and relatives from to 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville. Private burial will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens. When making memorial contributions in Richard’s name please consider the needs of the family or Hospice of West Michigan.
