Randy P. Kent

Randy P. Kent age 61, of Six Lakes, formerly of Greenville, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Corewell Health Grand Rapids Hospitals Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was born June 2, 1964 in Greenville, the son of Harold & Patricia Kent. He and his wife were the owners of Ground Pounder Garage LLC and loved to spend time with his family making memories. Also an avid supporter of auto racing. Randy is survived by his wife Kathy; son Ryan (Sarah) Kent of Greenville; two grandchildren Hayden and Hudson Kent; daughter Jessica (Adam) Jackson of Vancouver, Washington; siblings Brenda White of Big Rapids, Dena (Mike) Lindsey of Beaver Creek, Ohio, Dayle Grunow of Big Rapids, Bart (Peggy) Kent of Kettering, Ohio and Brett (Debbie) Kent of Dayton, Ohio; Michele Kent of Greenville, Brian Christophersen of Gowen; mother in law Kathleen Akkerhuis of Gowen and his in laws, Dan Tiffany, Randolph (Joyce) Akkerhuis of Apache Junction, Arizona, Sjana M. (Robert) Gordon of Lowell, Kim (Doreen) Akkerhuis of Greenville and Dionne (Brian) Luxford of Belmont Step brother James Jaquawist of Grand Rapids and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold & Patricia Kent, sisters Bonnie Christophersen and Holly Tiffany, brother Brent Kent and his father in law James Akkerhuis. Visitation will be 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM Thursday, March 12, 2026. Visitation will also be 1 hour before the Funeral Service at 11am on Friday, March 13, 2026 at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville, officiated by Pastor Ed Milam of the First Congregational Church, Greenville. Burial will be in the spring. Memorial contributions in Randy’s name can be made to Corewell Hospice.
