Mary Alice Enness

Mary Alice Enness age 96, of Stanton, passed Monday, August 1, 2016 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, after living the last 6 years at Kelsey Hospital Long Term Care in Lakeview. She was born November 5, 1919 in Douglass Township, the daughter of Richard & Sarah (Snyder) Enness. She was a production checker at Federal Mogul for 43 years, loved to travel far and wide, sew, make quilts, fish, eat, cook and thoroughly enjoyed her extended family of nieces and nephews. Mary Alice is survived by several nieces and nephews in the Lansing and Grand Ledge area and locally Richard & Joyce Johnson, Sandy Enness, Annette Enness, Marilyn Enness and Richard & Alicia Enness of Stanton and Dave & Margaret Cranmer of Belding. She was preceded in death by her parents Richard & Sarah Enness, brothers Clarence, Earl, Wayne and Melvin Enness and her sisters Orva Johnson, Vivia Rasmussen and Letha Buskirk Montez. According to her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial potluck/picnic will be 11 AM Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Douglass Township Hall in Entrican. The family would like to thank the staff at Kelsey Hospital Long Term Care in Lakeview and Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital for the wonderful care they gave to Mary Alice.
