Laurel L. Martin

Laurel L. Martin age 96, of Greenville, formerly of Iowa, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017 at home under the care of Spectrum Health Hospice. She was born August 26, 1920, in Auburn, Iowa, the daughter of Albert L. & Iva L. (Davis) Hoff. Laurel is survived by her children David Martin of Austin, Texas, Paula & (Charles) Ketchum of Springfield, Illinois, Denise & (Tom) Throckmorton of Clive, Iowa and Lori & (William) Faber of Greenville; grandchildren John, Becky, Tonya, David & (Jamie), Seth & (Jodi), Mathew & (Jeni), Jaclyn & (Mike), Matthew and Ryan & (Stephanie); great grandchildren Damon, Chris, Hannah, J.D., Clare, Callum, Liam, Cambria, Nolan, Alayna and Olivia; sisters in law Francis Hoff of Ankeny, Iowa and Doris Martin of Redfield, Iowa and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Martin, sister Lorraine Cooper, brother Merle Hoff and her daughter in law Linda Martin. Local Funeral Liturgy was held 11 AM Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville by Fr. Mark Bauer. Members of the family met with friends and relatives from 10 AM till the Liturgy. A Memorial Mass will be 10 AM Saturday, June 10, 2017 at St. John's Catholic Church, in Adel, Iowa with members of the family meeting with friends and relatives from 9 AM till the Mass. A luncheon will follow. Burial will then be Wiscotta Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Laurel’s name to Spectrum Hospice or the Susan B. Komen Foundation.
