Katherine M. "Kay" McArthur

Katherine M. “Kay” McArthur age 88 of Lincoln Lake in Gowen Mi., went to be with her Lord on Feb 25, 2026 after living 3 years in Mt. Pleasant Comfort Care Assisted Living, where she enjoyed all the social activities especially bingo and live music entertainment. She was well cared for and loved by the staff and she loved them right back. Kay always had a fun loving spirit and made friends everywhere she went. Born November 18, 1937 was raised at Blue Lake, the daughter of William & Ellen Bayer. Kay loved the water and sunshine on the lake, she loved her friends and family, playing cards and especially the game of golf. Her husband Charles and her owned and operated Charlie’s Dairy Freeze, at Lincoln Lake. It was quite an adventure for two people with no experience in selling ice cream. Turned out to be the best thing ever, working together for 14 yrs. They were blessed to winter in N. Ft. Myers Florida, where they made many good friends, enjoyed fishing and the fish fry’s that followed. When spring came, she loved to return to their Michigan lake home with all the joy of family and friends. Till we meet again in Heaven you are forever loved. Kay is survived by her children Scott (Theresa) Lincoln, Todd (Joni) McArthur, Mischelle (Ron) Rose and Wendy (Bill) Harris; grandchildren Josh (Dayna) Moody, Travis (Michelle) Rose, Kari (Tom) Creguer, Zach (Channing) McArthur, Tenneile (Brent) Petersen and Miranda (Cody) Carroll; great grandchildren Jordan, Tyler, Alex, Xavier, Brock, Reid, Crew, Beckett, Lennon, Willow, Axell, and Blake, sister Marcy Meeuwes,brothers Layer (Rosemary) Bayer and Butch (Flo) Kuliwik and many nieces and nephews. All of which brought a smile to her face. She was preceded in death by her birth mom Lucille Jaquays, adoptive parents William & Ellen Bayer, sister Muriel and brother in law Liston Lange 1st husband Dick Lincoln in 1972, 2nd husband Charles McArthur in 2016, infant daughter Robin in 1966 and son Bill Lincoln in 1992. Funeral Services will be 11 AM Saturday June 6, 2026 at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville. Visitation will be from 10:00 till the service. Burial will take place in Ashley Cemetery.
