Joseph S. Brown

Joseph S. Brown, age 29 of Gowen, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019 in a snowmobile accident. He was born August 11, 1989 in Grand Rapids. He loved the outdoors, especially snowmobiling, fishing, 4 wheeling, tubing and was employed at Tow’s Country Store. Joseph is survived by his mother Sue VanTuinen of Gowen; sisters Jennifer VanTuinen of Greenville and Jessica Brown of Gowen; brother Jeremiah Brown of Gowen; nephew Jason Moore; nieces Angel Moore and Jenika Brown; aunt Denise Parks of Wyoming; uncles Clyde Childs, Donald VanTuinen and Robert “Nick” VanTuinen all of Byron Center and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Terry Brown and by his grandparents. Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM Thursday and 2 to 4 PM Friday at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville. Cremation will take place after the visitations and there will be no funeral service. Memorial contributions in Joseph’s name are to go to the family for expenses.
