James Thomas Byrne Sr.

James Thomas Byrne Sr., 77 passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Spectrum Heath United Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Greenville. The family would like to thank the caregivers of Spectrum Hospice for the wonderful care that they proided for James. He was born a twin on May 30, 1941 in Belding, Michigan the son of Bertrand T and Naomi (Wright) Byrne. On May 8, 1963 he married Cheryl Pollman in Grand Rapids Michigan. James was employed as a truck driver for 27 years. He enjoyed family gatherings, camping, golfing, dancing, watching football and occasional trips to the casino. James is survived by his former wife Cheryl Byrne, his children James Thomas Byrne Jr. (Teri), Tim Byrne (Carrie), Wendy Gladding (Allen). Sisters Donna Carter, Marilyn Oldenkamp, Rosalie McKay and Twin Brother Jerry Byrne (Connie), grandchildren Ashley Jackson (John), Tyler Byrne, Corey Byrne, Megan Gladding (Maggie), Aleeson Lafferty (Justin), Jamie Byrne and Krista Byrne. Great grandchildren Carter, Owen, Lillie, Jamison, Karlee and Ava. Visitation will be held at Greenville Community Church from 11AM to1PM Thursday November 8, 2018 with funeral service immediately following. Honoring James wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Greenville Community Church.
