Gerald R. Stapleton

Gerald R. Stapleton age 64, of Daphne Alabama, passed away, Tuesday, June 21, 2016 in Sheridan. He was born April 17, 1952, the son of Robert E & Mercedes A. (Nielsen) Stapleton. He was a 1970 graduate of Belding High School, loved to golf, sail, fish and ride his Harley. Gerald is survived by his sister and brother in law Diane & (Tom) Sprowls of Sheridan; niece Jennifer & (Greg) Pilkinton of Palo; nephew Simon & (Sharilee) Sprowls of Entrican; great nieces and nephews Kathryn, Cameron and Conner Sprowls and Kody and Erik Pilkinton; aunts Ardith Deitz, Dorothy Lyons and Marjorie Lou Smith; uncle Vern & (Anna) Nielsen and his cousins Mark, Jeff and Nadine Stapleton and Virginia Luth of Clarkston. He was preceded in death by his father Robert on January 14, 2011, mother Mercedes on August 29, 2012, grandparents Hans Burley & Margaret Nielsen and Earl & Dorothy Stapleton. Members of the family will meet with friends and relatives 4 to 7 PM Monday, June 27, 2016 at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville. A Celebration of his Life will start at 6:30 PM Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the Candlestone.
