Gary E. Oberlin age 62 of Belding, went to be with his Lord on Friday March 10, 2017. He was born April 5, 1954 in Greenville, the son of Elan & Rosellen (Raymor) Oberlin Jr. He attended Greenville Public Schools, formerly worked at Electrolux and currently was employed at Korsons Tree Farm, loved gardening, being outdoors, cooking on the grill, woodworking and especially his children, grandchildren and his family. He is survived by his daughter Faith & (Nicholas) Perry of Ionia; son Jeremiah & (Sherri) Oberlin of Belding; 5 grandchildren Jakob and Blake Oberlin, Jasmine Quinn, Devin and Brianna Perry; mother Rose Ellen Beardslee of Greenville; sister Audrey & (Joe) Numbers of Boise, Idaho; brother Brent & (September) Oberlin of Greenville and Bill Oberlin of Greenville; nieces KT Numbers of Australia and Jennifer & (Adam) Geers of Sidney; nephews Matthew & (Emily) Oberlin of Florida and Dennis & (Amanda) Nance; his girlfriend Debra Shearer of Stanton; step sister Cindy & (Dave) Foreman of Lansing and his great nephew Dakota Peters. He was preceded in death by his father Elan Oberlin, Jr., step father Howard Beardslee and his grandparents Flora Raymor, Al & June Raymor and Elan & Lena Oberlin, Sr. and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial Services will be 11 AM Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville, with members of the family meeting with friends and relatives starting at 10 AM. Burial will take place later in Spencer Mills Cemetery. Please consider the needs of the family when making a memorial contribution in Gary’s name.
