Donald W. Dukes

Donald W. Dukes, age 82, of Stanton, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was born August 27, 1935, the son of William & Ila Dukes. He attended the Open Door Fellowship Church, loved to bowl, fish and watch sports, especially baseball, was a Michigan State fan and had retired from Electrolux, Greenville. Donald is survived by his 4 children Deborah (Dale) Schnicke of Zephyrhills, Florida, Theresa (James) Edwards of Stanton, Don (Cindi) Dukes of Belding and Michael (Stephanie) Dukes of Stanton; 13 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren and his twin brother Ronald (Shirley) Dukes of Stanton. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Audrey, second wife Jane, great grandchildren Gregory Diaz and Kathleen Downing and his siblings Clarence, Lanora, Vivian, Dagmar, Eileen, Viola and Lorrain. Funeral & Committal Services will be 1 PM Monday, August 27, 2018 at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville, with Pastor Larry Austin officiating. Visitation will be from 11 AM Monday till the service. There will be a Luncheon immediately following at the VFW Post in Sheridan. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
