Daniel Lee Kent

December 17, 1953 — February 4, 2022

Daniel Lee “Dan” Kent Sr, age 68, of Gowen, passed away peacefully at his home on February 4, 2022. He was born December 17, 1953 at Belding Hospital to Clyde Sr. and Mary A (Leitz) Kent. Dan was an avid mechanic all the way from the body work to the engine. There is nothing with an engine he could not bring back to life. He also loved Fords as he collected many. He could bring a smile to anyone’s face as he had a one-of-a-kind personality.  Dan was a wonderful husband, father, and grandpa and he loved his family dearly, helping raise his grandsons Austin and Logan. During this he was able to teach them all about his passion for vehicles and that was something everyone got to enjoy and will cherish those memories and knowledge. His pride and joy were his grandchildren, he always enjoyed spoiling them and spending time with them.  Dan was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Clyde Kent Jr, Marylou Hansen, Terry Kent, brother in laws John Tuttle, Butch Hansen, sisters in law Sharon Kent and Nephew Coty Kent. He is survived by the love of his life Connie Lynn Kent; children Dan Kent, Brodie (Dee) Kent, Natalie (Troy) Gavitt; his grandchildren Austin (Iesha) Kent, Logan (Rheanna) Kent, Alexis Gavitt, Gracie Haynes, Amber Kent, Danny Kent, III and Heather King; 12 great-grandchildren; his sister Valerie Tuttle and brother Mike Kent.   Please note that the funeral service has now been changed.  There will be no services at this time, along with the concerns of COVID-19.  Arrangements are by the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville, with complete obituary online at www.marshallfuneralhomeinc.com where you can leave a message of condolence for the family.
