Daniel E. Higgins

Daniel E. Higgins age 59, of Greenville, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at home under the loving care of his wife and Hospice. He was born October 30, 1966 in Clinton, Iowa. During his service in the United States Air Force he learned to be an orthodist and he excelled in his craft. He continued his love of being an orthodist after he retired from the Air Force at Teter Orthodics and Prosthetics where he continued his excellent work. He was a favorite among his patients. Dan had a great sense of humor and loved to play practical jokes on friends and family. Daniel is survived by his wife Wendy; his fur babies; father Thomas (Sandy) Higgins; sister Kristi Gustafson; brother in law Jeff Stephens; step brother Kurt (Cindy) Beck; step sisters Lorrie (Gary) Helde and Lisa (Tom) Campell; aunt Delores Holm and his nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother Margie Higgins; father in law William Stephens, first wife Kay Higgins, uncle Roger Holm and his aunt Darlene. Memorial Services will be 1 PM Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville along with Military Services by the Greenville American Legion Post #101. Member of the family will meet friends and relatives from 12 Noon till the Service.
