Dale Keith Lake

Dale Keith Lake age 84 of Trufant, passed away at home under the care of his family and Gentiva Hospice. He was born December 9, 1941 in Ionia, the son of Burton M. & Ialene M. (Wells) Lake. He graduated from Lyons High School in 1960, then served in the United States Navy for 4 years. He met his wife to be Sandra Flashaar on a blind date and later he married her on May 15, 1965. They were married for over 60 years, was a member of the 1073rd National Guard, worked for 15 years for Jeff Branch Motor Sales and 25 years at Gibsons. He is survived by his wife Sandra; children David (Sue) Lake, Darcie (Jim) Harris, Darla Lake, Dan (Christina) Lake and Darick Lake; 13 grandchildren Trevor Markum, James Harris III, Jeff Harris, Kristen Behrenwald, Kassandra Mapes, Darwin Lake, Dakota Lake, Jordan Lake, Myranda Lake, Dylan Lake, Tyler Czarnopes, Amber Kibler and Nicole Kibler; 14 great grandchildren Mykla, Brock, JJ, Oakley, Owen, Olivia, Ayden, Liam, Hayes, Delany, Parker, Bralynn, Gavin, Easton and one on the way and one great grandchild Oak Lynn. He was preceded in death by his brother Larry Lake and his sister Sue McGlamery. A Celebration of Life Luncheon will be 1 to 4 PM Sunday, April 26, 2026 at the Langston Bar. Memorial contributions in Dales name can be made to Gentiva Hospice.
