Connie I. Petersen

Connie I. Petersen, age 87, of Stanton, passed away peacefully with family by her side Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Green Acres Assisted Living in Greenville, Michigan. She was born on November 17, 1938, in Greenville, the daughter of Earl G. & Dorothy E. (Taylor) Yeomans. She graduated from Greenville High School in 1958; She then married the love of her life Marvin A. Petersen on August 2, 1958. She enjoyed collecting antiques, especially dolls. She and Marvin enjoyed spending time together traveling and going to the Casino. She immensely enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Connie is survived by her daughter Becky (Kenneth) Ravell of Belding; son Curtis (Dana) Petersen of Stanton; five grandchildren Jeremy Petersen of Stanton, Bill (Jessica) Ravell of Belding, Callie Petersen of Carson City, Amanda (Jason) Hammis of Saginaw and Samantha Batshon of Muskegon; eight great grandchildren; Gavin, Madelynn, Charlotte, Lucas, Piper, Aleigh, Arabella and Eli. Brother Philip (Flip) and Carol Yeomans of Greenville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin on June 6, 2023, sister-in-law Carolyn Stimer and her brother-in-law Wallace Petersen. A family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Connie’s name to Green Acres of Greenville Activity Fund at 1601 Winter Creek Court, Greenville Mi 48838.
