Charles Ray McArthur

Charles Ray McArthur went to be with his Lord on Nov. 30, 2016. He is proceeded in death by his infant son Scott McArthur and his parents Roy and Leona McArthur. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 yrs. Kay, sons Todd (Joni) McArthur and Scott (Theresa) Lincoln Daughters Wendy (Bill) Harris and Mischelle (Ron) Rose. Grandchildren Zach (Channing) McArthur, Tenneile (Brent) Petersen, Miranda (Cody) Carroll, Josh Moody, Travis (Michelle) Rose and Kari (Tom) Creguer Ten great-grandchildren Crew, Beckett, Lennon, Willow, Jordan, Tyler, Alex, Xavier, Brock, and Reid. All of which always brought a smile to his face. A sister Gwen (Dale) Stanton a niece Brenda (Rodd) Stanton and nephew Kevin Stanton, and a long list of cherished Aunts, Uncles, cousins and dear friends. Chuck was born Sept. 27, 1937 raised on a farm in Belding where he learned to love the out of doors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially golf. He drove truck for many yrs. before he and his wife owned and operated Charlie's Dairy Freeze. It was quite an adventure for two people with no experience in selling ice cream. Turned out to be the best thing ever, working together for 14 yrs. They were blessed to winter in Fla. where they made many good friends. However, come spring he loved to return to his Michigan lake home, with all the joy of family, and friends. Till we meet again in Heaven you are forever loved. Funeral Mass will be 11 AM Saturday, December 3, 2016 at St. Charles Catholic Church, Greenville. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 PM at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville, and from 10 AM till the mass at the church. Burial will take place later at Ashley Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in Charles’s name to Grace Hospice.
