Charles M. Herd, Jr.

Charles M. Herd Jr. passed away on July 27, 2026 at Corewell Health Greenville United Memorial Hospital. He was born December 15, 1943 in Picher, Oklahoma. The son of Charles M. Sr. and Mildred E. (Lane) Herd. He married Becky Shinabargar on June 10, 2012. He was laid back, loved to fish and had a great sense of humor. He was a successful businessman owning Crest Drycleaners around (40 years) and then Broken Arrow Auto Restyling in Oklahoma until he retired on April 1, 2015. Then they moved from Oklahoma to Michigan. He is survived by his loving wife Becky; children Justin (Alicia)Herd, Susie Ross, Janea Bray, Dennis (Kristy) Ordiway and Lindy (Ken) Vansconis; siblings Faye Petitt, Ronnie (Raylene) Herd, Judy Battenfield, Jeanette (David) Boyd; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Carolyn (White) Herd, son Mark Herd, daughter Nancy Bucher; siblings Gerald Herd, Bobby Herd, Raymond Herd, Paul Herd, and Joyce Fararr. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday August 4th, 2026 with visitation from 10:00 am till the service at Marshall Funeral Home in Greenville Michigan with Pastor Ed Milam officiating.
