Catherine Frances (Dabe) Madlener Foster

Catherine Frances (Dabe) Madlener Foster age 71 of Greenville, passed away peacefully Monday, November 20, 2017 at Hathaway Hills Assisted Living, in Greenville. Catherine was a wonderful person that was loved and cherished by everyone that knew her. She was born November 17, 1946 in Bowersville, Ohio, the eldest daughter of James W. & Betty D. (Abeyta) Dabe. Catherine always had a smile for everyone and a kindness about her while working for many years as a greeter at Meijer in Greenville. Catherine treasured the many happy times spent with her dear friends and family. Catherine is survived by her mother Betty D. (Abeyta) Dabe of Jamestown, Ohio. Her children Michael & (Rose) Madlener of Trufant, Stephanie & (Jason) Nichols of Gowen, Michele Sabin of Sidney, Nicole Madlener of Greenville. She was a proud grandmother to fifteen grandchildren; Michael and Caitlin Madlener, Sawyer and Adison Nichols, Derek and Alec Sabin, Jalen, Jada, and Jadeen Baskin, Max Roszell, Andrew, Megan, Johnny, and Madison McPherson. Catherine is also survived by her loving nieces Chandra Knotts and Shani Brittingham both of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her first spouse Jerry W. Madlener, second spouse Howard L. Foster, grandson Joshua Sabin, father James W. Dabe and her sister Leah Brittingham. Private burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Greenville.
