Carol L. Roy age 77, of Greenville formerly of Lakeview, went to be with our LORD, Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Mercy Health St. Marys Hospital in Grand Rapids. She was born October 18, 1941 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, the daughter of John M. & Viola C. (LaVictor) Bernard. She loved puzzles, playing card games, word find puzzles, crocheting, sewing by hand and her and her husband were the owners of the Entrican General Store. Carol is survived by her children Karen & (Roy Giles) Bull, Martin Swartzmiller of Buffalo New York, Allen & (Marcia) Swartzmiller of Fenwick, Randy & (Tifanee) Swartzmiller and, Cindy & (Ted) Wilkinson of Bitely, Richard & (Faith) Grubb of Greenville; stepchildren Michelle & (Rich) VanderMeulen of Comstock Park, Sherri & (Albert) Vandenberge, Robin & (Troy) Wymer and Daniel Roy of Wyoming, Clifford H. Roy of Sparta, Joe & (Johanna) Roy of Grand Rapids; sisters Lois Cooper of Sault Ste. Marie, Anna Smith of Saginaw, Mary Parcher of Greenville and Rosemarie Bristol of Coral; brothers Stanley Bernard of Ashley, Robert (Marlene) Bernard of Harrison and Ruben (Barb) Bernard of Hesperia; in laws Bruce Hult and Mick (Roberta) Roy; many grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clifford on April 11, 2015 daughters in law Virginia Roy and Joanne Swartzmiller, son in laws Frank Tatro and Edwin Claypool, brothers in law Robert Smith and David Roy and sisters in law Alice Bernard and Bonnie Hult. Funeral & Committal Services will be 11 AM Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Greenville Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Joel Heron officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 PM at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville and on Saturday from 10 AM till the funeral at the church. Memorial contributions can be made in Carol’s name to the American Heart Association.
