Billie Jo Welch

Billie Jo Welch age 64, of Gowen, passed away Monday, May 6, 2024 at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. She was born March 27, 1960 in Holt, Michigan, the daughter of Curtis E. & Virginia M. (Skidmoor) Travis. She loved to being around her grandchildren and great grandchildren, watching law and order and ER, and absolutely loved watching her Detroit Tigers so much that she had a pad of paper to write down all the stats such as their wins and losses and names of players. She also collected cow figurines, enjoyed living in the country and hanging by the fire with friends and family and listening to her country music.  Lastly she absolutely loved Friday evenings when she and her husband Jim would go to their BFF's Pat and Leroy Dows house where they would play marbles and laugh and joke around. Billie Jo is survived by her husband Jim; children Brandon Hart of Grand Rapids and Amber Hart of North Carolina; step children Eric (Angelique) Welch of Gowen and Kirk Welch of Rockford; sister Robin Travis of Mecosta, brother in law Blaine Hayes and her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Kirt Travis and her sister Jodie Hayes. Memorial Services will be 2 PM Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville.
