Bernadine Theresa Trudell, age 86, of Stanton, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, with her loving husband of 65 years at her side. She was born on December 9, 1939, in Chicago, the daughter of Ernest I. and Veronica C. (Bergeron) Ceglarek.
Bernadine is survived by her husband, Dennis; her children: Robert (Eva) Trudell of Rockford, Richard (Brenda) Trudell of Grand Rapids, Rene (Randy) Korsky of Sheridan, Bernadette Trudell of Jackson, Jeanine (Brian) Rusher of Auburn Hills, and William (Jammie) Trudell of Crystal; and her daughter-in-law, Rosie LaDuke Trudell. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Mary Maslowski of Wisconsin, and her brother, Joseph (Catherine) Ceglarek of Allendale.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Dennis Trudell Jr.; and her siblings, Florence Skorika, Robert, Thomas, Daniel, Bernice, and James Ceglarek.
Bernadine had a lifelong passion for bringing people together. She enjoyed planning social gatherings and founded a young Christian social group, through which she met her husband. Later in life, she continued fostering community while living in Florida. She enjoyed dancing, crafting, quilting, and coloring.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026, with a Rosary recited at 8:00 p.m. at Marshall Funeral Home in Greenville. The Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at St. Charles Catholic Church in Greenville, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bernadine’s name to the St. Charles Cemetery Fund. Arrangements are entrusted to Marshall Funeral Home in Greenville. A complete obituary and online condolences are available at www.marshallfuneralhomeinc.com
