Barbara A. Miller, age 64, of Sidney, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at home under the loving care of her family and Corewell Hospice. In her final moments, she was surrounded by the love of her family, with all of her children by her side holding her hands as she peacefully passed.
She was born October 17, 1961, in Detroit, Michigan. Barbara was a dedicated employee of Electrolux for 25 years. While she took great pride in her work, her most important role was caring for those she loved. She often joked that her second job in life was being the project manager for her children and grandchildren, a role she embraced with unwavering love, support, and devotion. Barbara cherished time spent with her family and found her greatest joy in creating lasting memories with those she loved most.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Scott Miller; children, Carlton (Michelle) Miller of Sidney, Brandon (Maya) Miller of Belleville, Brianna (Hunter) Brian of Thompsonville, and Jordan (Heather/Jensen) Sell of Manistee, her son, with whom she recently reunited after many years apart and six grandchildren, Aubrey, Willow, Zaida, Elijah, Annabelle, and Betsie.
She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Patricia Miller; and her siblings, Ida Laurencelle, Peggy Nowak, Kim (Dave) Sower, Karen Branch, Wesley (Holly) Laurencelle, William (Rebecca) Laurencelle, Frank (Tammy) Blanchard, and Kris Blanchard; brother-in-law, Mark Miller; sister-in-law, Angela Miller; her beloved great-nephew Gabe Barker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Betty; her stepfather, Ernest Adams; her infant sister, May Margaret Laurencelle; her father-in-law, Jerry Miller; and her brother-in-law, Clifford Branch.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Stanton First Congregational Church, visitation beginning at 10 am and service at 11 am. Please feel free to wear your most vibrant and wild outfit.
