July 17, 2000 — December 30, 2025

Caledonia

Bailey Ryan Redick, age 25, of Caledonia, Michigan, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Bailey was born on July 17, 2000, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. To know Bailey was to know deep and unconditional love. He loved his family and friends boldly and valued each and every person in his life. Bailey had a special way of bringing people together, whether through food, music, or art—and he truly enjoyed making others laugh. He lit up every room he walked into with his infectious smile and sense of humor. Bailey always saw the best in others, often encouraging and lifting people up to be the best versions of themselves, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him and be loved by him.

On February 17, 2025, Bailey was diagnosed with Diffuse Midline Glioma, a rare, aggressive, and terminal pediatric brain tumor—an especially rare diagnosis at his age. Throughout his journey, Bailey showed extraordinary strength, courage, grace, and determination, facing each day with love, hope, resilience, and faith. While this disease tried to change many things, it never changed who Bailey was at his core.

Bailey is survived by his mother and stepfather, Heather and Thomas Bunker; his siblings, Kyler, Noah, Brooklyn, and Harper Bunker; his fiancée, Alexys Jade; grandparents Sandra McCarthy; Todd (Letitia) McCarthy; Douglas and Mary Redick; uncles and aunts Bryan (Kerri) Whitefoot; Shannon (Andrew) Peck; Joseph (Tracie) Redick; Benjamin (Erika) Redick; Desiree (Sabino) Villarreal; and Clifford Hui; cousins Ayden, Kayleigh, Kelsey, Taylor, Zoe, Landen, Jude, Luke, Ella, Austin, Isabell, Xavier, and Aby; as well as many extended family members and very special friends, including those at Ye Old Tavern, who loved and cared for him deeply. Bailey was preceded in death by his father, Ryan Douglas Redick.

Outside of his cancer diagnosis, Bailey loved skateboarding, basketball, fishing, camping, cooking, music, graphic design, family gatherings, game and movie nights, trips to the casino, Pokémon and animals—especially his beloved fur baby, Parlay. Bailey found joy in life’s simple pleasures, and those memories will forever be treasured.

In honoring Bailey’s wishes, cremation has been arranged. He will be laid to rest with his father at Jehnsen Lake. A celebration of life will be held in the spring, where family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, and celebrate a life so deeply loved. Additional details will be shared in the coming months.

Our family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this incredibly difficult time. Every kind word, gesture, and act of compassion has meant more than can be expressed.

The family would also like to extend their gratitude to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, for granting us precious additional time with Bailey through their Connect1906 clinical trial, and to Corewell Health’s Hospice team for their extraordinary compassion, dignity, and care during Bailey’s final days. Your kindness and dedication will never be forgotten.

Arrangements are by the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville, with complete obituary online at www.marshallfuneralhomeinc.com where you can leave a message of condolence for the family.

My sweet perfect boy, you made me a mom and showed me what unconditional love truly means. From your first breath to your last, you were my miracle, my strength, and my greatest gift. I am heartbroken beyond words, but so incredibly proud of the man you became and the fight you fought with courage and grace. I promise to carry your love, your laughter, and your light with me for the rest of my days. Until we meet again, you are my forever angel. I love you infinity plus infinity, to the moon and back infinite times, forever and always.

With all of my love,

Momma
