Arley Kent, Jr.

Arley Kent, Jr. of Lakeview, formerly of Coral, passed away Friday, September 18, 2026 at Lakeview Terrace Assisted Living. He was born January 5, 1937 in Oakfield Twp., the son of Arley, Sr. & Violet (Spooner) Kent. He was a member of Sidney Christian Church, retired from DeVries Tire, enjoyed mowing lawns and loved his family. Arley is survived by his two sons Clifford Kent of Coral and Bruce (Shelly) Kent of Kalamazoo; two daughters Sherry (Sid) Ehlert of Coral and Veronica (Warren) Ostrander of Lakeview; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and one on the way; one great great grandson; brother in law John (Lillian) Christophersen of Gowen, sisters in law Maxine Christophersen of Gowen, and Diane Kent of Greenville and lots of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mabel H. Kent on November 24, 2025, brothers Orville (Donna), Norman, (Ila) Harold (Patricia) and Raymond Kent, sister Elnora (Robert) Arnsby and Ester Kent, sisters in law Elsie (Dutch) Tyler, Helen McMeeken, Dorothy (Ken) Hulliberger and his brother in law Gilbert Christophersen. Funeral Service will be 1 PM Wednesday, September 23, 2026, with Pastor Bernard Loew officiating at the Marshall Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM Tuesday September 22, 2026 and from 11 AM till the funeral starts on Wednesday at the Marshall Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Little Denmark Cemetery.
